I am married for last ten years. My husband works as migrant laborer. I got pregnant twice but I was unfortunate that both the times I gave birth to still born babies. I got pregnant third time. Then Md Nazir Alam and Manjari Begum who work for Azad India Foundation visited our village. They were conducting meeting on health issues related to pregnant women. I told them about my problem. They advised me to visit the lady doctor at RCH centre at Arrabari Madarasa for three check-ups.They also got iron tablets for me. I also got 2TTs done at the gap of two months. They also convinced my husband to take me for delivery at the hospital. I followed their advice very religiously. By grace of God I gave birth to a healthy baby daughter at hospital after so many years.

I am Umeda Khatoon resident of village Kolha. I have five children, 2 sons and 3 daughters. The CHWs of Azad India Foundation conducted meeting on family planning methods in our village. On their advice I started taking contraceptive pills to avoid unwanted pregnancies. But taking pill every day was difficult and sometimes I used to forget also. Then Md Ramiz Raza (CLC) and Budni Devi (Dai) came to our village and asked us whether we are interested in getting IUD insertion done. It will free us from day to day hassle of taking pill. They also spoke to my husband about benefits of family planning who luckily agreed. So I got IUD insertion done at the Surya clinic. For few days I had some discomfort but now I am perfectly fine.
