Achievements as per Objectives and Indicators

Objective 1: Percentage of pregnant and nursing mothers benefiting from improved maternal health knowledge and services has increased by at least 30% in the project villages by June 2008, compared to June 2007.
Performance Indicator: • No. of pregnant women registered disaggregated based on enrolled/ non- enrolled, caste, economic status
• No. of pregnant women having 3 ANC regular health check ups disaggregated based on enrolled/ non- enrolled, caste, and economic status.
• No. of pregnant women taking prescribed dosage of IFA and Multi Vitamins disaggregated based on caste, economic status and gender.
• No. of risk cases detected and referral services accessed
• Percentage of home based deliveries attended by Trained Birth Attendants (TBAs)
• Percentage of women having institution based deliveries
• Reduction in no. of Low Birth Weight babies
• Reduction in no of infant deaths.
• Percentage of eligible couples adopting appropriate birth spacing methods.
• No. of pregnant women with awareness and knowledge on RTI/STI, HIV/AIDS
Achievement:
• 221 pregnant women registered disaggregated based on enrolled/ non- enrolled, caste, economic status
• 116 Pregnant women having 3 ANC regular health check ups disaggregated based on enrolled/ non- enrolled, caste, and economic status.
• 287Pregnant women taking prescribed dosage of IFA and Multi Vitamins disaggregated based on caste, economic status and gender.
• 21 risk cases detected and referral services accessed • 18% of home based deliveries attended by Trained Birth Attendants (TBAs)
• 63% of women having institution based deliveries
• 98% reduction in infant death
• 413 Eligible couples adopting appropriate birth spacing methods.
• 177 pregnant women with awareness and knowledge on RTI/STI, HIV/AIDS


Objective 2: Improved maternal knowledge of early child health (between 0-2 years of age) and use of early child health services increases by at least 50% in the project villages by June 2008, compared to June 2007.
Performance Indicator: • No. of children fully immunized disaggregated based on gender / enrollment / caste / religion
• No. of mothers feeding colostrums
• No. of mothers practicing breast feeding norms
• No. of infants receiving colostrums/breast fed disaggregated based on gender
• No of children received exclusive breastfeeding
• No of malnourished children identified.
• No. of cases of early detection of childhood illness.
• No. of cases who sought medical support at appropriate times.
Achievement:
• 154 children fully immunized disaggregated based on gender / enrollment / caste / religion
• 128 mothers feeding colostrums
• 225 mothers practicing breast feeding norms
• 128infants receiving colostrums/breast fed disaggregated based on gender
• 52 children received exclusive breastfeeding
• 30 cases of early detection of childhood illness.
• 52 Malnourished children identified


Objective 3: The number of adolescent boys and girls with improved knowledge of reproductive health and empowered to assume and exercise their reproductive rights increases by at least 40% in the project villages by June 2008, compared to June 2007.
Performance Indicator: • No. of adolescents trained on reproductive rights
• No. of adolescents aware of their reproductive rights
• No. of adolescents aware of safe sex behavior
• No. of peer educators
• No. of adolescents aware of RTI/STI symptoms
• No. of adolescents attending health camps
• No. of peer groups formed
Achievement:
• 83 adolescents trained on reproductive rights
• 92 adolescents aware of their reproductive rights
• 75 adolescents aware of safe sex behavior
• 54 peer educators
• 75adolescents aware of RTI/STI symptoms
• 54 adolescents attending health camps
• 30 peer groups formed


Objective 4: Increase use of contraception (temporary method)for spacing by young couples (15-45) of the marginalized community
Performance Indicator: • Number of couples aware of contraception by method in the intervention area
• Number of couples aware of the spacing in the intervention area
• Number of total adolescent girls aware of two modern methods of contraception in the intervention area
Achievement:
• 500 couples aware of contraception by method in the intervention area
• 413 couples aware of the spacing in the intervention area
• 83 adolescent girls aware of the two modern method of contraception


Objective 5: Improving nutrition of the adolescent
Performance Indicator: • Number of mothers know the adverse implication of anemia in the intervention area
• Number of number of girls know about prevention of anemia in the intervention area
Achievement:
• 100 mothers know about the implication of anemia in the intervention area
• 120 girls know about the prevention of anemia in the intervention area
